Driversnote Trial FAQ
What is the Driversnote free trial?
The free trial gives you full access to Driversnote Pro for 7 days, at no cost. You get everything a paying subscriber gets – unlimited trips, unlimited reports, unlimited vehicles, trip filters, tags, notes and locations – so you can see how Driversnote works with your own driving before you pay anything.
How long does the trial last?
7 days, starting the moment you begin it.
Will I be charged when I start the trial?
No. We ask for your payment details when you start the trial, but nothing is charged while the trial is running. Your first payment is only taken when the trial ends, and only if you haven't cancelled.
Why do you need my card if the trial is free?
So that your Pro plan continues without interruption when the trial ends. It also means you don't have to re-enter anything or lose access while you decide.
What happens when my trial ends?
If you do nothing, your trial rolls into the Pro plan you selected at checkout and your first payment is taken on the day the trial ends. If you cancel before then, you keep Pro access until the last day of the trial and then move to our free plan.
How much will I pay after the trial?
The price of your plan is shown at checkout before you start the trial, and again in the reminder email we send you 3 days before it ends. You can also see it any time on your subscription page under Settings.
Will you remind me before the trial ends?
Yes. We send you an email 3 days before your trial ends, and a push notification if you have notifications enabled in the app. The email states the date your trial ends and the amount you'll be charged.
How do I cancel my trial?
Open your subscription page (in the app: Settings → Subscription; on the web: your account settings)
> Go to Your subscription
>Click Cancel plan
>Confirm that you want to cancel
You can cancel at any point during the 7 days.
If I cancel during the trial, do I lose access straight away?
No. If you cancel before your trial ends, you keep full Pro access until the last day of the trial. After that you move to our free plan.
What happens to my trips and data if I don't continue the trial?
Nothing is deleted. Your trips stay in your account. On the free plan you can see and report up to 15 trips per month, so if you tracked more than that during the trial you'll need a Pro plan to see or report all of them again.
Can I get the trial on both the monthly and the yearly plan?
Yes. The trial is available on both. Pick the plan you want at checkout and the trial applies to it.
Do I get my iBeacon during the trial?
Not during the trial. We collect your shipping details when you start the trial, and your iBeacon is dispatched once the trial ends and your first payment has gone through. You'll get an email confirming your shipping details when you start, and a second email when the iBeacon is on its way.
You can still track automatically during the trial – the app tracks trips on its own without an iBeacon.
Who can use the free trial?
The trial is an introductory offer for new customers in specific segments. You're eligible if:
You have never had a paid Driversnote plan before
You created your Driversnote account recently
You're subscribing as an individual (not as part of a team, and not buying more than one licence)
You're subscribing through our website.
Why can't I see the trial offer?
The most likely reasons are:
You've had a paid Driversnote plan before – the trial is for first-time subscribers only
You subscribe through Apple – the trial isn't available on App Store purchases.
You're on a team plan, or buying more than one licence
Your account was created too long ago to qualify

Is the trial available if I pay through Apple?
No. The free trial is only available when you subscribe through our website or the Android app. If you subscribe through the App Store, you'll go straight to a paid plan.
Can I use the trial on more than one licence, or for my team?
No. The trial covers a single individual licence. You can't add extra licences while the trial is running.
Can I combine the trial with a discount or other complimentary offers?
No. The free trial can't be combined with partner discounts or complimentary offers.
Can I share my referral link while I'm on the trial?
Yes. Once your friend subscribes and pays you are entitled to your 30% off - see our FAQ on Refer and Earn.
Can I get the trial again later?
No. The trial is a one-time introductory offer, so it's only available once per account.
I cancelled by mistake – can I get my trial back?
Yes, as long as your trial hasn't ended. Go to your subscription page and click Stay on Driversnote Pro.
Who do I contact if something goes wrong?
Email us at support@driversnote.com, or reply to any of the trial emails – they come straight to our support team.
Why can’t I buy an iBeacon or more licenses?
You can purchase additional iBeacons or licenses once your trial has ended. If you need to proceed with your purchase immediately, you can cancel your trial first.
