France: Standard reimbursement rate
The French tax authority (DGFiP) usually confirms the official mileage rates for a given tax year at the beginning of the following year.
During the year, Driversnote displays the latest available rate on all your trips, provided they’ve been assigned the “Standard rate” on your account.
Once the rate is announced, two things can happen:
a) The rate remains unchanged: in this case, nothing happens to your trips and reports - if you’re using the “Standard rate” on your Driversnote account, then all your trips from the previous year will already have the correct rate.
b) The rate changes: Driversnote automatically applies the new rate to all trips taken during the previous year. Any reports generated after that point will also contain the correct rate. However, note that previously generated reports do not change and must be re-generated to make sure they contain the correct rate.
