How to: Export your trips to Wave for accounting (US & Canada)
You can export your Driversnote reports directly to your Wave account to help manage your finances (available for US and Canadian accounts only).
You need to login to your account online then follow the steps below. This is only available on the web.
- Go to Settings > Integrations and find the option for Wave.
- Click Connect
- You will be taken to the Wave access page, where you authorise your workplace to connect, then the various permissions that the app requires.
- When this is done, you will be back in Driversnote, where you can select your account and categories for your Wave connection. You can change the choices here at any time.
- The integrations page will change to saying "Configure", meaning you have set up the Wave integration.
To create a report to send to your Wave account:
- Go to Reports, then select + Create report
- Follow our normal instructions for creating a report on the website
- When the report is as you require, click Save and review
- Click the "3-dot" menu to the right of Send and Download and select Send to Wave
- You will see pre-filled selections for Date and Description, which you can change or leave as already set
- The Account and Category options for Wave will be selected also, and they can be changed or left the same
- When you have what you need, click Send
Note: If you have already saved and sent a report, but then made later changes to your trip data for that period, you will need to update the report in the usual way, then resend the report to Wave using the same steps as above.
