How to create a report

Download your mileage logbook for any given date range, in PDF or Excel format.

You can generate as many reports as you like, but Lite users can only see the first 20 trips per month.

Creating a report in the Driversnote app

  1. Go to A document symbolReports in the app menu
  2. Use the dropdowns to change the options:
    • Vehicle. If you have multiple vehicles, you’ll need to choose one. 
    • Date range. Use pre-set options like This Year or Last Year, or set a custom range.
    • Trip type. e.g. Business, Private, All trip types
    • Organisation or Workplace i.e. the name of the company you are reporting to/for.
    • Show or hide odometer readings
  3. Check the report overview
    • Check that the distances and reimbursement rates look correct.
  4. Choose your download option: PDF or Excel
    • You’ll be given the option to view the report on your phone, or share or email it.


Creating a report on the Driversnote website

  1. Log in at driversnote.com
  2. Click on Reports
  3. Choose what information to include in your report:

    • Vehicle. Choose the vehicle (if you have more than one).
      Enter the vehicle’s license plate number under Vehicle settings to have it displayed in the report.
    • Date range. Use pre-set options like This Year or Last Year, or set a custom range to choose the exact dates.
    • Trip type. Business or private. Or, show All trip types.
    • Organisation or Workplace i.e. the name of the company you are reporting to/for.
    • Show or hide odometer readings. Read more about recording your odometer readings here. 
  4. Review the Report details
    • Check that the distances look correct.
      Are you displaying the correct vehicle/organisation/date range?
    • Check the reimbursement rates look correct.
      Have your Business trips all been correctly classified? 
  5. Download as PDF or Export to Excel
